Wellness.

The daily practice that the rest of the work depends on. Inner discipline. 5 AM club. Winter sea swims. Brazilian jiu-jitsu in the evening.

Ice bath
Inner discipline

By day a samurai.
By night a monk.

Cold water. Stillness. Then the work. The body kept simple so the mind can be precise, and the heart can stay open. Most of it is unglamorous, repeated, and done before most people are awake.

Love as a worldview
"When you read Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, you understand that life is very simple. Just a very short trip — and I don't know how long I will be on this trip. I can only be grateful for it, and create good energy."

Paddleboard
On the water

Winter sea swims.

The Mediterranean is cold in February. That is the point. A body that knows how to be uncomfortable, briefly, on its own terms — handles the bigger discomforts of work and life with less drama.

Paddleboard most mornings the weather allows. Surf when the swell is right. Otherwise, the ice bath at home.
