From zero,
building a dream.

To realize a dream is hard. To preserve it is even harder. Three decades. Three acts. One life, still being built.

"Imagine arriving in a place no one believes in. Agricultural land. No roads. No restaurants. No future. And deciding: here, I will build a city."

Northern Cyprus, the land before construction
Act I · Starting from nothing

$50,000 and a dream.

I arrived in Cyprus with $50,000, but with enormous dreams. In Iskele, I was offered land in open fields with no roads or infrastructure. The deal was based on trust: £1,000 per apartment sold in the future. A 500-unit project. No capital, only belief.

I imagined a Roman city. Caesar. Amphitheaters. Aqueducts. Experience. Luxury living at prices ordinary people could afford. Like Club Med for the middle class.

The nine principles

How the dream was built.

1 · CourageI decided to change my reality.
2 · VisionI imagined a Roman city, and held the image until it became real.
3 · SubconsciousI visualised success. Wrote sales targets and put notes everywhere. Believed before I saw results.
4 · Burn the shipsI moved with my wife and small children. Failure was not an option.
5 · Think big, act smallGoal: 200 units. Start: two buildings. One happy client. One more sale. One more step.
6 · Be everythingSalesman. Developer. Finance. Customer service. I sold apartments sitting in hotel lobbies.
7 · Inner discipline5 AM club. Winter sea swims. Exhibitions across Manchester, London, Ireland, Moscow, St Petersburg. With a suitcase, selling a dream.
8 · Ignore the noise“You will fail.” “The place is wrong.” I listened only to vision.
9 · Fall and rise againSome nights I felt hopeless. But every morning, back to battle.
"Money does not motivate me. The things I love cost nothing."

Act II · Success and inner transformation

10,000 units. A quiet realisation.

Money did not motivate me. The things I loved cost nothing: a small home in Portugal, surfing with my son, breath, silence, philosophy. Stoicism. Buddhism. The first Caesar cycle was complete. I began to search for peace.

"Either you break. Or you survive. Or you grow. I chose to grow."

Act III · Crisis & renewal

Guided by ancient teachers.

When the storms came, I returned to the field at 7:30 every morning, and broke problems down one by one. I held nine principles: gratitude for reality, fearlessness, the dual of control, living with pain without turning it into suffering, returning to business in crisis, small victories, surrounding myself with good people, giving back to community, and above all, learning to breathe.

Breath is the key. To time. To situation. To self.

The daily practice

By day a samurai.
By night a monk.

Wake at 5:00. Prayer. Planning. Breathwork. Ice baths. No alcohol. No smoking. Healthy food. Sport. Evening Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Ocean. Books. Meditation. Reflection. Love as a worldview, as Rumi taught.

The world does not need more powerful people. It needs powerful people who are not corrupted by power.
